Yesterday (29th April 2015) UKIP's leader Nigel Farage called upon the EU parliament to
help fend off the very real threat of Islamism in Europe by applying stricter asylum
seeker rules.
Whatever the rights or wrongs of the point he was making, Farage's involvement in supporting the perfectly valid anti-Sharia cause in Europe is as inappropriate and destructive to it as:
(i) Hitler - were he alive today, calling for free saliva genetic ancestry kits for all people of the EU
or
(ii) Jimmy Savile - were he alive today, calling for action to instil greater discipline in all school children across the EU
We need to stop the likes of UKIP, BNP, EDL etc hijacking the perfectly valid anti-Islamism / anti-Sharia cause for their own racist ends. We will make no progress eroding Islamism/Sharia across Europe without successfully distancing ourselves from these noxious groups in the eyes of our mainstream politicians.
